Whistles for Life Announced as the Official Whistle of the National Safe Boating Council

New Partnership will bring safety and awareness to the NSBC and beyond

Washington, D.C. (March 17, 2010) – The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) is proud to announce that Whistles for Life has joined the NSBC organization as the official whistle of their organization.

Whistles for Life were designed and tested by Search and Rescue Professionals for the sole purpose of creating a high-quality safety whistle.

“The National Safe Boating Council is excited to join forces with Whistles for Life to promote safer boating practices,” remarks Virgil Chambers, Executive Director of the NSBC.

“It’s too often that accidents on the water end in tragedy because the right equipment wasn’t onboard. Having a whistle on your boat is a critical part of ensuring yours and your passenger’s safety.”

The Whistles for Life company will be working with the National Safe Boating Council on a “causal marketing” approach. For every whistle sold by Whistles for Life, a percentage will be donated to the National Safe Boating Council. The donated funds will be used to enhance the NSBC’s training and education programs.

“We are so excited to be considered the official whistle of the NSBC. Our new partnership will not only help promote the NSBC’s training and education programs, but will help to get the word out about our superior product,” notes Robert Cameron, President of Whistles for Life. “This safety whistle should be an essential item for any person looking for an inexpensive, but functional tool for being rescued.”

The National Safe Boating Council and Whistles for Life will continue to work together in their fledgling partnership to increase safe boating efforts at a variety of events, including the International Boating and Water Safety Summit, as well as through programs offered by the NSBC.
